Problem with rog hero11 x470 and rtx 2080ti

Recommended Posts

Hi all, last week I upgraded my Pc with an Asus Rog crosshair Hero v11 x470 and an Msi Rtx 2080ti and a Ryzen 2700x cpu . I am on win10 pro and have two monitors. When I boot up the bios is displayed on the secondary monitor but not on the main monitor. then windows starts on the main monitor and secondary goes off. The secondary monitor does not show in device manager. When I select show hidden devices a pnp shows as ghosted. It is also not shown in nvidia control panel. When I do a search for it is not found. Previosly I had an Asus x79 mobo , an i7 3930k ND TWO GTX Titans. Never had this problem. Incentlally, I tried the Titans and I got no displays at all. I have trolled the net for days now trying to find out how to fix this but I have tried everything and come up with zero. A lot of people are saying that this is a win10 fault but I didn't have this problem previously on win10. So, if any of you guys have any advice or magic fixes I would very grateful for your help.

Unfortunately we are not specialists in this area. We have no affiliate with "Republic of Gamers" our name is "Republic of Gaming" slightly different but were a gaming community.

However if I could help I would, its a bit odd that it worked before and doesn't now, if any of our members know an answer they will reply to this, but my advice would be to take it into an independent computing company and get them to run some tests to work it out.

Out of curiosity how old are your monitors and would they support your new set up?
